Previously, AMD CEO Dr Lisa Su had confirmed Ryzen 7000 Series CPUs to launch in Q3 of 2022 during AMD's earnings call in Q2. According to new information by [Wccftech](https://wccftech.com/amd-ryzen-7000-desktop-cpus-x670-motherboards-launch-on-15th-september/), AMD is set to announce Ryzen 7000 Series CPUs (codenamed Raphael) **on August 29th**. Review embargos are to lift on September 13th with a launch date of September 15th.

Thankfully, reviews will be published two days before the product launch, giving customers enough time to decide whether or not they should purchase AMD's 7000 Series CPUs. The same information is expected to apply for X670 motherboards, as we know they'll launch the same day as AMD's next-generation CPUs. Reviews for X670 motherboards are also likely to publish **on September 13th**.

Here are the rumoured specifications of AMD's 7000 Series CPUs:

- Ryzen 9 7950X (16C/32T | 5.5 GHz | 170W)
- Ryzen 9 7900X (12C/24T | 170W)
- Ryzen 7 7700X (8C/16T)
- Ryzen 5 7600X (6C/12T | 4.4/4.9 GHz)

Here's how they compare to today's 5000 Series CPUs:

- Ryzen 9 5950X (16C/32T | 3.4/4.9 GHz | 105W | $799)
- Ryzen 9 5900X (12C/24T | 3.7/4.8 GHz | 105W | $549)
- Ryzen 7 5800X3D (8C/16T | 3.4/4.5 GHz | 105W | $449)
- Ryzen 7 5800X (8C/16T | 3.8/4.7 GHz | 105W | $449)
- Ryzen 5 5600X (6C/12T | 3.7/4.6 GHz | 65W | $299)

From the little information we have on the base and boost clock of AMD's 7000 Series above, we can see a vast difference in performance increase, beneficial for both work and gaming purposes. However, considering ongoing issues worldwide, such as inflation and energy bills, we should expect these CPUs to launch at a higher price. Mentioning energy bills, the 7000 Series are expected to have a TDP of 170W across the board (except for Ryzen 5 7600X).
