It's been a while since we've written an article on PS5 stock. The shortage of video game consoles in the UK has finally normalised. Though this doesn't mean PS5s are still everywhere. We'll explain all the details below, including information on an [Argos](https://www.kqzyfj.com/click-100516233-14023759?url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.argos.co.uk%2F) restock due in July.

**Argos PS5 Restock Due**

Stock Checker has been informed that [PS5 Digital Edition](https://www.anrdoezrs.net/click-100516233-14023759?url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.argos.co.uk%2Fproduct%2F2741824) consoles will hit stores **around the 20th of July**. For those looking for the [PS5 Disc Edition](https://www.jdoqocy.com/click-100516233-14023759?url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.argos.co.uk%2Fproduct%2F8349000) console, you're looking at **around the 27th of July**. To be clear, these aren't the dates consoles will be available to purchase, but when the consoles are expected to ship into Argos stores for preparation.

Suppose Argos plans to allow orders before the consoles arrive. We could expect the PS5 Digital Edition to be purchased **between the 18th - 20th of July and the 25th - 27th of July** for the PS5 Disc Edition console. If not, keep an eye out for each console edition on the 20th and 27th. We'll notify you of this restock either way, as expected, via our [Twitter](https://twitter.com/PS5StockAlertUK), [Discord](https://discord.com/stockchecker), or [PS5 Disc](https://stock-checker.com/products/playstation-5.html) | [PS5 Digital](https://stock-checker.com/products/playstation-5-digital.html) tracking pages.

**Video Game Hardware Shortage Normalises**

In the UK, [Xbox Series X](https://stock-checker.com/products/xbox-series-x.html) consoles have been in stock for months without needing a bundle. Microsoft's new-gen console shifted from hard-to-obtain to available everywhere during Q1 2022. The same is about to be a reality for the PS5, after almost two years since the console's release. Graphics cards in the gaming pc industry are also constantly in stock, so much so that NVIDIA has decreased the MSRP of its highest-tier GPU, the 3090 Ti.

The remaining cards are also expected a drop in MSRP soon, which indefinitely means competitors (AMD) will do the same. AMD would have to offer their cards at an even lower price due to NVIDIA's GPUs being more capable in AI (DLSS 2.0). Aside from production surpassing demand, inflation also is a factor in the sudden change of high-demand products being lower than supply. The UK and US are seeing a speedy increase in inflation percentages, leading to consumers spending less as the prices of products and services multiply.

**Future Shortage Predictions**

Suppose another virus appears in our lives in the future. In that case, it'll impact supply again, though industries would be more ready this time than previously seen. Some future products that'll lead to much hype are PS5 Pro and Xbox's next console (which could be named Xbox Series X Elite), RTX 40 Series, RX 7000 Series, Intel's new Arc Alchemist GPUs, and Nintendo Switch Pro. These products will have high demand by gamers and tech enthusiasts, with issues meeting those demands through the available production rates.

I don't think the shortage for releasing those products will last as long as the PS5, Xbox Series X and current-gen graphics cards did, as those all launched right at the beginning of COVID's chaos, causing all supply chains to close or slow down production immensely. Though, this doesn't mean any shortage won't take place at all. Toward the end of this year, NVIDIA and AMD are expected to launch their next-generation graphics cards. They probably will be experiencing shortage/stock issues for a few months at least, but it shouldn't last longer than a year.
