Gamers who haven't got their hands on a PlayStation 5 console, keep their eyes on [Argos](https://redirect.viglink.com/?u=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.argos.co.uk&key=79458fa6e412683ee49a32a8238e8524&prodOvrd=WRA&opt=true), as it's one of few companies offering the console on a click-and-collect basis. Luckily enough, we've been informed that Argos expects to receive [PS5 Disc Edition](https://bit.ly/3ywQQkn) shipments **on Monday, May 9, 2022**. What does this mean for their upcoming restock? We've got all the details below.

Firstly, we'd like to clarify that this upcoming Argos PS5 restock is for the Disc Edition only and not for the Digital Edition. They aren't expecting to receive any shipments of the Digital Edition. If all shipments do arrive **on May 9**, Argos would be distributing the consoles across the nation to most stores, which could take 1-2 days. After distributions, we can expect the online and in-store PS5 to restock **between May 11-14** (03:00-09:00 BST). However, Argos has recently accepted online orders before distributing PS5 stock (pre-order), which could mean a possible restock **between May 10-13** instead. Either way, the drop should take place this week.
As mentioned above, the drop could take place as early as 03:00 in the morning on drop day, which isn't convenient to most people, but that's how Argos restocks have been lately. Though not to worry, as PS5 restocks by Argos always happen on a region-to-region basis. Some stores could drop between 03:00-05:00 (BST) in the morning, whereas others could drop between 06:00-08:00 (BST). It's a game of luck as no one has control over what time a store may show the PS5 console as available to order.
Though there is one helpful thing, we know about Argos drops, which you should know. If you spot your store showing stock as available but then out of stock the instant you try to purchase one, this doesn't mean it's entirely out of stock. Through our sources over time, we've learned that the Argos website (system) will automatically change the stock status to 'out of stock' if the website is being hit by heavy traffic to prevent overselling the console. So, once the drop takes place, and you experience this, all you'd need to do is wait on the Argos website for 5-30mins for people who don't have time to waste to leave the website. You'll see that stock availability will be green again as traffic calms down.
We hope this guide was helpful in one way or another and that you'd be a successful owner of a PS5 console within the next few days!
