**When will Argos drop PS5s?**
Stock Checker has many contacts who are employees, working in various retailers who privately inform about console and graphics card restocks before they happen. This time, the news comes for an [Argos](https://redirect.viglink.com/?u=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.argos.co.uk%2F&key=79458fa6e412683ee49a32a8238e8524&prodOvrd=WRA&opt=true) PS5 restock. We’ve been informed via a contact that Argos has received large shipments of [PS5 consoles](https://redirect.viglink.com/?u=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.argos.co.uk%2Fbrowse%2Ftechnology%2Fvideo-games-and-consoles%2Fps5%2Fps5-consoles%2F&key=79458fa6e412683ee49a32a8238e8524&prodOvrd=WRA&opt=true), containing both [Disc](https://redirect.viglink.com/?u=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.argos.co.uk%2Fproduct%2F8349000&key=79458fa6e412683ee49a32a8238e8524&prodOvrd=WRA&opt=true) and [Digital Editions](https://redirect.viglink.com/?u=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.argos.co.uk%2Fproduct%2F8349024&key=79458fa6e412683ee49a32a8238e8524&prodOvrd=WRA&opt=true). The big restock is expected to take place any day from Monday 11th April to Friday 15th April, but our prediction would be betting on the first half of the week. Unfortunately, some Argos restocks have taken place 8 am in the morning, whereas some have taken place overnight (3-6 am), leaving no room for anyone to predict what time the PS5 drop could take place.
Although this Argos PS5 restock is expected to be a big drop (at last), we have been warned that approximately 90% of the PS5s that came in are Disc Editions, whilst the remaining 10% of the shipments are Digital Edition consoles. This is no surprise to anyone familiar with PS5 restocks, as Sony manufactures a smaller quantity of PS5 Digital Edition consoles compared to PS5 Disc Edition consoles. You may be asking why? Well, this is because demand for PS5 Disc Edition consoles is drastically higher than for PS5 Digital Edition consoles. It’s that simple.

1) Make sure you are logged in with an Argos account
2) Add the PS5 of your choice to your account’s wish-list
3) Add the PS5 to your basket once the button is available
4) Refresh your basket every minute or so till your area has stock
5) Buy the PS5 once your area is in stock
__Buying a PS5 at Argos in store__
1) Visit your local Argos store
2) Kindly ask if they’ve got PS5s in stock, but with the product IDs

3) If they’ve got it in stock, congratulations
4) If they don’t, try another nearby Argos store
Online drops at Argos are usually a pain, and we know why, thanks to one of our contacts. Argos’ website automatically lists the PS5 as ‘out of stock’ if there are too many shoppers trying to buy the PS5 console when it’s in stock, surpassing the threshold Argos’ website automatically allows to purchase the console. Once the traffic surpasses the threshold, Argos’ website will automatically list the PS5 as ‘out of stock’ which makes sense as to why the console regularly comes back into stock every 20 mins or so for a few hours straight on drop day. This is due to the traffic decreasing once shoppers think the console is fully out of stock and leave the website, enabling Argos’ website to show stock available, but then out of stock again once shoppers re-visit. Kind of like a cat and mouse situation.
