In an unexpected turn of events, [Genotype](https://sonyps.prf.hn/click/camref:1100lRNjp/destination:https%3A%2F%2Fstore.playstation.com%2Fen-gb%2Fproduct%2FEP1147-PPSA19133_00-0100272568896517), the highly anticipated FPS adventure by Bolverk Games, has been inadvertently launched on PSVR2 stores on March 23, ahead of its scheduled release date of April 4.
The PSVR2 version of Genotype boasts months of meticulous development. It offers players immersive gameplay experiences with HDM haptics, a feature unavailable on Meta Quest platforms.
Although the early launch caught the team off guard, CEO Bo Bennekov assures players that Genotype is in "good shape." However, a few fixes are still pending, and a hot patch is scheduled for release by April 6. For any issues encountered, players are encouraged to reach out on the Bolverk Games Discord server, where the community and developers are on standby to provide assistance.

Due to the unexpected store presence, the game's presentation text needed to be fixed, and some content needed to be included. However, the team has swiftly rectified the situation by removing the faulty text, and a fully equipped store page is expected to be available next week.
The premature launch also means that feedback from streamers, influencers, and reviewers has yet to be available, as no game keys have been distributed.
Despite the early release, fans can look forward to immersing themselves in Genotype's thrilling world, where they'll confront monstrous beasts in an Antarctic research base. The game recently received a significant combat update, promising exciting encounters with various monsters and bosses.
In Genotype, players assume the role of Evely, an intern at an Antarctic weather station who finds herself trapped in the mysterious Snowdrop Initiative laboratories after falling through the ice. Guided by the facility's last survivor, William, players must navigate the treacherous environment to save themselves and the planet.
