LEGO has officially revealed the LEGO Ideas Tintin Moon Rocket (21367), a collectable display set inspired by Hergé’s classic Tintin comics. Designed with adult builders in mind, the 1,283-piece model recreates the iconic red-and-white rocket that first appeared in Destination Moon and Explorers on the Moon.

Standing nearly half a metre tall, the model captures the distinctive checkered pattern and sleek silhouette of Tintin’s spacecraft. It’s built primarily as a display piece, but LEGO has included a few thoughtful details for fans of the original stories.

[Pre-orders for the set are now open](https://go.skimresources.com/?id=202183X1680904&xs=1&url=https://www.lego.com/en-gb/product/tintin-moon-rocket-21367), with the launch scheduled for April 1, 2026.

A Rocket Straight from the Comics

The Tintin Moon Rocket is one of the most recognisable spacecraft designs in comic history. LEGO’s version faithfully recreates the design while translating it into a clean display model suitable for shelves or desks.

The finished build measures over 19.5 inches (49 cm) high, 8 inches (20 cm) long, and 9 inches (23 cm) wide, making it a substantial centrepiece. The bold red-and-white checkerboard pattern runs the full length of the rocket, instantly evoking the look of the original illustrations.

A removable panel in the rocket’s cone reveals a small control room inside. This detail references the memorable scene from Explorers on the Moon, when Tintin’s crew first sees Earth from space.

Six Characters Included

The set includes six characters from the Tintin universe, all ready for their lunar mission.

• Tintin
• Captain Haddock
• Professor Calculus
• Thomson
• Thompson
• Snowy

The five human characters come equipped with space suits, helmets, and oxygen tanks, while Tintin and Captain Haddock also include radio accessories. Snowy joins the crew as a small companion figure, completing the lineup.

Together, the figures allow fans to recreate scenes from the famous Moon adventure storyline.

Designed for Display

Like many sets in the LEGO Ideas range, this model is aimed primarily at adult builders and collectors. The 18+ age recommendation reflects its display-focused design and detailed construction process.

Once complete, the rocket makes a good piece of space-themed décor, whether on a bookshelf, desk, or display cabinet. Its tall, vertical design also helps it stand out among other LEGO sets.

Builders can also use the LEGO Builder app while assembling the set, which provides digital instructions, 3D rotation tools, and progress tracking.
