We have yet another piece of information about upcoming NVIDIA graphics cards. According to a [recent leak](https://twitter.com/kopite7kimi/status/1525797225657696257) from "**kopite7kimi**," NVIDIA plans to release their next-gen GPUs in **the third quarter of 2022**, translating to **July/August**. This leak comes as a surprise as early rumors suggested a September/October release, which would fit the same time frame the RTX 30 series launched in 2020.
Q3 is still a perfectly logical assumption if we consider that the RTX 20 Super Series had its premiere in late August, and the RTX 30 Series was inevitably delayed by the pandemic and chip shortages.
It certainly is an exciting bit of information. The RTX 40 Series is expected to deliver a substantial performance jump thanks to an entirely new architecture named after great mathematician **Ada Lovelace**, more onboard **VRAM** per model, and new generations of tensor **(DLSS)** and RT **(Ray Tracing)** cores.

**Which models should we expect first?**
It's a tradition now that NVIDIA releases high-end models first, followed by mid and low-end models. We expect the RTX **4090** and **4080** to be the first models to come live, with the rest of the family releasing in late 2022/early 2023. Sadly, there is no information about official pricing just yet. Still, we should expect **a £50-100 MSRP** price hike for FE models vs. 30 Series, given the ongoing world situation and that factories producing GPU chips raised prices by 20%.
Indeed, only time can tell how accurate those leaks are. Take them with a grain of salt, but it might be correct given the past release history and Mr. Kopite, a proven and reliable leaker. More official information directly from NVIDIA should be around the corner. We will make sure to update you all if any more details emerge.
