Last week, we predicted in our [previous article](https://stock-checker.com/articles/possible-ps5-restocks-upcoming-by-major-retailers-533577.html) that ShopTo would drop PS5 stock on the 3rd of April, and Very would drop stock on the 5th of April. Unfortunately, although both retailers haven’t dropped PS5 stock in more than a month, they never became reality. Therefore, we recommend keeping your eyes open for those two next week! [ShopTo](https://www.awin1.com/cread.php?awinmid=2943&awinaffid=837293&ued=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.shopto.net%2F)’s prediction has moved to this upcoming Sunday, the 10th of April, whereas [Very](https://redirect.viglink.com/?u=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.very.co.uk%2F&key=79458fa6e412683ee49a32a8238e8524&prodOvrd=WRA&opt=true)’s prediction has moved to the 12th of April.
**PlayStation Direct**
Although the last two weeks have been silent when it comes to PS5 drops, there’s some good news from the likes of Sony themselves! [PlayStation Direct](https://redirect.viglink.com/?u=https%3A%2F%2Fdirect.playstation.com%2Fen-gb%2F&key=79458fa6e412683ee49a32a8238e8524&prodOvrd=WRA&opt=true) has sent out an exclusive invite email with a special per person link, confirming a drop tomorrow (Thursday, 7th of April) between 9:30 am – 11:00 am BST. This is the timeframe for those lucky individuals who have received the invite via PlayStation’s mail system. Those who have not been invited to the exclusive drop, or who have not registered interest with PlayStation Direct, can attempt purchasing a PS5 console after the exclusive drop finishes. So that’s after 11:00 am BST, where the public (still must be a PS member) can freely shop the PS5 console, assuming you’ve passed the queue and there’s still stock.

If you haven’t registered interest before, you may do so by [clicking here](https://www.playstation.com/en-gb/ps5/register-to-buy/). This won’t gain you a spot in the upcoming PS5 stock drop however, it would give you a chance to be selected for any other future PlayStation Direct restocks. To be prepared for the drop, you mustn’t worry, as PlayStation Direct’s stock drop system is simple. No matter how late or early you are in the queue once the queue is live, you’d be in the same percentage of chance of securing the PS5, and here’s why:
PlayStation Direct’s queue is not based on a first come first serve basis, but based on a random spot basis. For example, a bunch of people has entered the queue early, but a different bunch of people entered the queue last minute, the queue will decide once the timer is up who gets placed at what point of the queue, whether that’s at the start, the middle, or the end, all randomised. We estimate that the reasoning behind this is to make it fair for those who aren’t on their mobile device or computer quickly, as well as to deter bot service users who typically end up in the queue first. After getting through the queue, you must be logged in to your PlayStation account, and simply purchase the PS5 you’re after if it’s in stock. That’s it!
