You may want to check your emails if you've previously registered interest in a PS5 console via [PS Direct](https://direct.playstation.com/en-gb/). Multiple members' reports from our Discord server confirm an online restock **on May 10, 2022**. There's no indication whether this drop will contain both the [PS5 Disc Edition](https://direct.playstation.com/en-gb/buy-consoles/playstation5-console) and the [PS5 Digital Edition](https://direct.playstation.com/en-gb/buy-consoles/playstation5-digital-edition-console) consoles. However, the restock will occur between 09:30 - 11:00 (BST).

The given timeframe above is for the private (exclusive) drop only. Those who have received the exclusive invite via email will be allowed to purchase a PlayStation 5 Console without the interference of heavy traffic from public visitors. Suppose PS Direct does not sell out during the private drop. In that case, we can expect a general drop (available to anyone who has a PSN membership) to access and purchase PS5 consoles. There will be two queues. The first queue will be a 20-minute wait for the public to queue up, a way PS Direct uses to gather an audience for sale. Then, the second queue will take place, which is the actual (real) queue. The second queue is where PS Direct will place you in a randomized spot throughout the audience that has also been waiting in the first queue to give everyone a 'random' but fair chance of securing a PS5 console.
After being placed in the second queue, PS Direct will show you a wait time of "more than 1 hour" which is temporary and a placeholder. Once everyone in the line is randomized, your queue time will update to the actual wait time, typically less than half an hour. Fortunately, the available consoles will be on their own. Shoppers can select additional options for those who'd like to go for a custom bundle to grab a few things while they're at it. Although unconfirmed, some users have reported facing errors while trying to purchase a PS5 console at checkout. After some research, we've gathered that most users used digital banks (Monzo, Starling). To avoid this issue, we recommend using a bank card from a physical bank company (Barclays, HSBC, Natwest) for a smooth checkout experience.
There are two delivery options available with PS Direct. The first option is the standard delivery, priced at **£6.99** and delivered within 3-5 days. The second option is premium delivery, priced at **£9.99**, offering a 1-2 days delivery frame. If you have an active PS Plus (PS+) membership on the PSN account you're logged in with; you'll be offered standard delivery for free.
