Many of you are probably questioning what happened to the expected [Very](https://redirect.viglink.com/?u=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.very.co.uk&key=79458fa6e412683ee49a32a8238e8524&prodOvrd=WRA&opt=true) drop. To be honest, we are wondering the same thing. It is quite surprising based on previous restock patterns how Very did not drop PS5 stock in 6 weeks despite competing retailers restocking PS5s for the last two weeks. This could be because yesterday (Monday, April 18) was Easter Monday, and a day of preparation wasn’t enough, so Wednesday, April 20 could still be worth watching out for. Nevertheless, [PS Direct](https://direct.playstation.com/en-gb/) is here for their 2nd restock of the month in April, and we’ve got all the details you need to know, so do read on.

**The PS Direct Drop & Everything You Need To Know**
Those who registered interest for a PS5 at [PS Direct](https://direct.playstation.com/en-gb/) have received an exclusive invite link via their emails for Wednesday, April 20th between 09:30 – 11:00 am (BST). This private event may only be accessed by those who received an exclusive invite by PS Direct, giving those people a chance to pre-order a [PlayStation 5 Disc Edition](https://direct.playstation.com/en-gb/buy-consoles/playstation5-console) or [PlayStation 5 Digital Edition](https://direct.playstation.com/en-gb/buy-consoles/playstation5-digital-edition-console) Console. However, there is a chance for those who did not receive the invite to participate in trying their luck to buy a PS5 Edition of their choice, after the exclusive invite drop.
Yes, that’s right. PS Direct __sometimes__ have a decent amount of leftover stock from their private drop, resulting in a PS5 restock for the public (non-invitees). If this does happen, which it has many times in the past, you can expect the public PS Direct drop to take place around 11:00 -11:30 am (BST), possibly lasting till mid-day, or till stock is sold out. Though, there’s an important step you __need__ to know even if you are going to attempt buying a PS5 via the PS Direct public drop. You’ll still need to be a PSN member (logged in) to purchase a PS5 Disc Edition or PS5 Digital Edition Console, whether it’s the private or public PS Direct restock.

If you haven’t registered interest for a PS5 at PS Direct already, you can [register interest here](https://www.playstation.com/en-gb/ps5/register-to-buy/). This will not guarantee you a spot in the upcoming PS Direct PS5 restock but would increase your chance in being selected by PlayStation for any of their future PS5 restocks that may take place. One thing to keep in mind is, that the queue isn’t on a first come first serve basis at first. There will be two queues, the first being a randomised queue for everyone to be ready for the PS5 restock, then a second queue (the actual one) which will be first come first serve.
PS Direct will randomly place those who are in the first queue, into the second queue, no matter how early or late you were to the first queue. Though, once you’re in the second queue, you’ll know as you’d see a queue timer for how long you’ve got left to access the PS5 product page. If you see the timer tell you “more than an hour” remaining, don’t let this demotivate you, as it’s just a placeholder timer __at first__, which’ll then update to your actual queue spot once PS Direct randomly places you into the second queue. You can expect your queue time to drop anywhere in-between 50 – 5 minutes.
