[Amazon UK](https://amzn.to/3h0dOIT) has not restocked the PlayStation 5 console for almost two months, for both the [Disc Edition](https://amzn.to/3u0eZgM) and the [Digital Edition](https://amzn.to/2OwjSxC). Stock Checker predicts that it is closer than ever for the chance of that long-awaited Amazon restock to take place either this Tuesday or Wednesday (22nd-23rd Feb), early morning around 8am-9:30am based on previous drop times. The last time the online giant restocked PS5 consoles in the UK was the 19th of January, approximately around 8:34am in the morning however, this was only for the Disc Edition variant. The Digital Edition variant hasn't been restocked by Amazon for a very long time due to the ongoing chip shortage and demand issues, clearly indicating that Sony most likely produces a drastically higher amount of Disc Edition consoles over Digital Editions due to the difference in demand.
Securing a PS5 console via Amazon is simpler than you think, supposedly they have a comfortable amount of stock to give you a decent amount of time to purchase. You **must** have an [Amazon Prime](https://amazon.co.uk/tryprimefree?tag=?stockchecker00-21) membership, or you will not be allowed to purchase the PS5 via Amazon once the drop is ongoing. Amazon has put this measure in place in their attempt to lock PS5 sales to Prime members so that resellers (scalpers) aren't able to shop the high-demand console via Amazon, or at least in bulk.
